Affterlife, well spent.
2  Administration / Site News and Events / Site Update on: September 22, 2010, 10:23:04 AM
The front page is long overdue for an update.  I intend to try to get that done one of these days.

Chances are, when I do that, the site will be down for a bit.  I need to move a few things around, patch some stuff, and it might screw up some of my account links.  Know that the forums will always be around, and no data here should be lost.

Dear friends,
It is with the saddest heart that I pass on the following. Please join
me in remembering a great icon.

The Pillsbury Doughboy died yesterday of a yeast infection and
complications from repeated pokes in the belly. He was 71.

Doughboy was buried in a lightly-greased coffin. Dozens of celebrities
turned out to pay their respects, including Mrs. Butterworth, Hungry
Jack, the California Raisins, Betty Crocker, the Hostess Twinkies, and
Cap'n Crunch. The grave site was piled high with flours as long- time
friend, Aunt Jemima, delivered the eulogy, describing Doughboy as a man
who never knew how much he was kneaded. Doughboy rose quickly in show
business, but his later life was filled with turnovers. He was not
considered a very "smart" cookie, wasting much of his dough on
half-baked schemes. Despite being a little flaky at times, he -- even
still, as a crusty old man -- was considered a roll model for millions.
Toward the end, it was thought he would rise again, but alas, he was no
tart.

Doughboy is survived by his wife, Play Dough; two children, John Dough
and Jane Dough; plus they had one in the oven. He is also survived by
his elderly father, Pop Tart.

The funeral was held at 3:50 for about twenty minutes.

Yes, but not an active one.

If we can get folks for it, I'm up for it.

Need at least 6 to chime in here, preferably 8.

I deleted a bunch of accounts.  I'm 99% sure I got only spammers, but I may have clipped someone who's joined but never posted.  If I did, I'm sorry, but you can re-register.

A cute little game where you can play Super Mario Brothers as Mario, Samus, Link, Simon Belmont, Ryu, Megaman, or whoever the Contra guy is.

Memorial service will be sometime on monday.

Rock Band 3 is going to rock.

That's rather redundant isn't it?
15  General Category / The Commune / Re: Random Thoughts of June on: June 05, 2010, 12:50:48 AM
Not here, somewhere else I've been visiting for many years is shutting down.

Wow, it's the end of an (extremely small) internet era.

Someone's awake finally.

My wife and I party very differently.  My wild party has people falling asleep and breaks out in a board game.  My wife's wild party involved copious quantities of alcohol and was broken up by dawn.

Just the video embedding, which was something I'd wanted to look into, and you saved me the trouble of that.

25  Hobbies / Gaming Discussion / Anyone Here want Free Little Big Planet (PS3) DLC? on: May 18, 2010, 06:21:03 AM
Post here, and have at least 10 contributing forum posts.

I've got about 10 codes to give away for the complete Pirates of the Caribbean DLC (Costumes and Levels).

Note: Code only works on US accounts.

27  General Category / The Theatre / Re: Iron Man 2 on: May 13, 2010, 02:50:22 AM
Saw it last night.

It was good.  The first one was better, but this had some nice continuity pieces brought in.

Sadly, Iron Man series is lacking in any real good fight scenes featuring Iron Man.  Best fight in this one was Black Widow's.
28  General Category / The Theatre / Re: Iron Man 2 on: May 11, 2010, 05:12:31 AM
Hope you stayed though the end credits.

Wife and I are going to see it on Wednesday.
29  General Category / The Commune / Re: May Meanderings on: May 10, 2010, 06:01:48 PM
So far, so odd.

Mission over the weekend: See Iron Man 2.  Mission failure.
