No problem. Found a guy to help me so Mel has been Seared. I seared another one tonight. Mel's level 11 at the moment I think, and working his way up there.
Looks like sunday will be a good day for me in general for GW though.

I won't be on this sunday, but most sundays I'll be available in the afternoon.
This sunday, I'm off to see Blueman Group. Drew and Ash are sitting the little one of us.

Gratz, Tim!
If you get stalled at a particular mission, don't worry too much about doing the bonus. (Except Thunderhead keep, but that is like mission 22 or 23...). You can always come back at a later time and do it again. Again, Guildwiki is a priceless resource for keeping the guessing out of your mission planning. Ie, what skills are worthless, Where exactly is the firk ding blasted bonus, etc.
And, if you need any help, I did manage to get the protector of tyria titile, so at some time i must have done the bonus...it may have been a coupla years ago, but meh.

My problem is that I realy need 2-3 more levels or a more useful tactics skill. I want my tactics around 9 for one of my items.
I'm finding health upgrades for my armor, which is helpful. Not sure how long I'll have the armor for, but +35 health is nothing to sneeze at.
I'm going to try the second mission this morning when I get home. I tried to do it first earlier, and the lead guy was killed before I got to a point I could even ask him about the bonus. This time, I'm bringing Restore Life along for the trip, to heal up those losers tagging along with me.

Anyone have any suggestions on builds for Kryta and Lions Arch environments? 16th level E/N and I am not sure what to go with.

I've heard interupts become more important in that area, but I'm several missions prior to that.
It's the New Year celebration in factions. It's a festival going on this weekend at the temple. Always fun if you can make it, or so I've heard.

The tengu warriors use sword, and have an interrupt or two. The tengu mesmers have an interrupt, and an enchantment destoyer. I would recommend NOT bringing enchantments. If you must, bring aura of restoration to cover the more important ones (as aura of restoration has a fast recharge time compared to others.)
If you have blinding flash or blurred vision, those would be useful as well. The kryta area has many mobs who are warriors, and they will probably get up close and personal.
Depending on what is available, there may be some curses that would be useful. Enfeebling blood comes to mind. And several Elite skills, but those are later in the game.

Really? I popped over to the shin jea temple last night, and there was no festival. In fact, when i logged on, it said only that there were double sunspear/lightbringer points this weekend.

Co', I will have to re-set my build and see what I can move around, and I will have to check my skills, I think I missed some so I may need to go back and check on some optional quests in the 'explorable areas'.

It may have been a 1 day thing. Check the Wiki. My dad was on it on Saturday.
Got past mission 3, though need to get the bonus (stupid henchmen killed my target to early)
I might be getting Nightfall next week when I get back from vacation.

Sweet
Picked up Nightfall (It was on sale at Circut City for $35, or they just rung it up wrong). Managed to get Meloran (with Jim's help) to finish 2 more missions (need to go back and do the Bonus in 1 of them), and got him into Nightfall, so he has some Heroes (and finished 1 mission in Nightfall).
Nightfall is fun, the Dervish is interesting, though I'm not 100% sure I like it yet. Paragon seemed less iteresting at first, but with a Warrior Hero from the start, might not be too bad.
I need to get my Mesmer high enough to get to Lion's Arch and get some heroes.

Are you doing the arenas available in Prophecies?
What build are you using?
One on one, mesmers do rock the house.

I was using a shut down energy draining/Punishing build, and yes, it was the L10 and L15 arenas.
The second time (When I went 5-1), I could have done a bit better with the build (I brought Energy Tap instead of Shatter Delusions), but it worked ok. I'm still learning some skills, so I know I can make the build better (Backfire is ok, but that's why I regretted not also having Shatter Delusions). The biggest problem was parters without a Resurection Signet and the guy who did have one wanted to go 1v1 and got killed. But hey, its a random arena.
On the other hand, my Warrior got his butt handed to him in PvP, but that was a group of 4 warriors, and they wouldn't even talk to each other
.
I got Heroes (Using a Mo/E, D/Mo, and R/Mo now, I'm an Me/E) with my Mesmer, got her up to L16 last night/this morning. Need to do the Bonus on the Nurlani Accademy, then do the Frost Gate and Gates of Kryta. Gates of Kryta isn't too hard though, and the Bonus in Nurlani should be easy. Also need to do quest cleanup in the Northern Shiverpikes, since my dad helped me run though it.
Drew, you have any good Chackrams for a Dominating Mesmer? Most of what I've found is crap.
I'm having fun with the mesmer as it's a thinking build. Constantly tweeking it. Better for taking on casters than Melee, but that's where Heroes help. My dervish is pretty self-sufficient, my Monk can heal incredably well (and the elementalist gives her access to that enchantment that lets them heal when they cast, the only thing she uses), and Rangers are pretty self-sufficient as well (Though she runs with a hex removal and resurection spell to help out).

Two words.
Pain Inverter.
It pwns. Seriously. Been doing a bit of vanquishing in the jade sea, and man, those ele dragons hurt. They also do aoe dmg, and they die before i can laugh at how much damage they are taking. As a side note, I used it on an ele boss in Jade Sea. I flagged my heros (and minions) in one location, hit him with PI, and he cast maelstrom. We, as a group, got hit with it twice before he died.
