THE FOLLOWING IS RIFT WITH GENERALISM.
Most republicans are right wing, or conservative.
Most democrats are left wing, or liberal.
There are more democratic moderates (middle of the road) than republican moderates.
There are more democratic conservatives than republican liberals.

Did that help?

wow 120 days of not talking politics?

in the game of politics the one with the most power wins.
power = what you can get away with, what stupid thing can you say or do in public and not loose any followers or votes.

Republican or Democrats is dosent matter, they are both the same, they are both after power.

power= voters / Supporters
Supporters= money

I trust in individules not in organizations, I know some democrats their nice people same with them republicans. But in large groups.........well we see it every day in the news.

Its all about power and if sometimes they do something good for the people is it luck or planned?

Later all.

I'm a little more cynical than you all.  I think republican/democrat or liberal/conservative, are just levers the powerful use to get the plebs to do what they want.

I think the general tendency of this group (bront.org people) toward individualism is inherently good, it means you (have I participated enough to say we) are free thinkers.  I think when we are caught up in a lable like conservative or liberal, we tend to turn off our brian and participate in the group think of the lable.  This makes us little more than useful levers for the power brokers.

Most of the talk is US politics.  Any one beside me think the real power is bigger than the US?

I agree.  Down with the sheeple!!

I don't think so.  But since I know so little about global politics, I could be wrong. unsure

If you are addressing the: Freemasons/Illuminati/Knights Templar, or whatever name you want to put to the face, then yes, they are out there, imo.

Yeah I think so too.  That is were the real power is.  I also hear about a world secret society that meets once a year to plan out how that next year is going to go.  Anyone else know anything about that?

Um, no.  Because they're super secret and they're not exactly pounding down doors looking for new recriuts.

Well, we are talking Politics according to the thread subject.  So I don't mean to mislead us down the conspiracy theory road.  I just don't believe in 'being' a democrat or a republican.  I like the phrase you all use, it makes you a sheeple.  To me it means you are nothing but a lever to be pulled.   We shouldn't hate clinton, or bush, it clouds our judgment.

For example we should be able to discuss the War in Iraq without talking about Oil.  Oil is an emotional lever.  Some you are undoubtably 'reacting' just to my mention of Iraq or Oil.  Or perhaps I should say if we talk about oil we should talk in a factual way rather than an emotional way.  Like Iraqi oil is sold to what country, in what quantity, and for how much.  This way we could reasonably see if Oil has any motivating force, in US policy.

To me the real driving force for Oil is our last decade of free trade agreements.  This has caused a trend toward boosting india and china economies and bringing our standard of living down to compete.  In turn two billion people have a better standard of living and now demand more energy.  Supply and Demand, soon oil will break $100 a barrel, and it has nothing to do with the war.

Personally, I dislike them because of the decisions they've made.  That and one can't pronounce the word nuclear, Pretty scary considering we are in the 21st century.
For example we should be able to discuss the War in Iraq without talking about Oil.
I actually haven't heard those words in the same sentence in a couple of years.  Is that a hot topic in your parts Fry?

Here is a more political question, how about libertarians, where do they fit?

I like the 'little' parties, the Green Party, the Libertarians, the Tax party, the Constition Party, ...

I think they are small enough that they actually believe what they say.  I respect that.  Even if I disagree, I like the honesty.
