Who's Bront?That'd be me. You can read about me and my interests all over this site. Basically I'm a guy who's into roleplaying, paintball, technology, and chatting in general.
What are these Forums for?The forums are to have fun. They're a good place to discuss anything. I've opened more expansive forums in topics I'm more interested in, but as the community grows, I can expand them to cover even a wider set of interests. Feel free to talk about anything here.
Can I swear, curse, insult others?Yes, but be adult about it please. This is a forum for discussion, not a place to show off how many times you can type swears in a post.
Can I link to images?Yes, but no pornographic images please. All pictures should be kept work safe.
What is "Work Safe (WS)" and "Not Work Safe (NWS)"?Anything most people could view at work on an internet connection. Not Work Safe is anything else (like adult sites, virus/warez sites, anti-government sites, etc.). It's not always clear cut, and just because you can access it from work doesn't mean you should. In general, if you wouldn't mind your boss seeing you look at it, it's probably safe.
These boards are unmoderated, so I can do what I want, right?No. As mentioned before, don't post pornographic or non-work safe images here, and don't be too annoying. Spamming the site will not be tolerated, nor will causing problems on the site. So, generally keep things simple and pleasant, and there won't be any problems.
What is Karma?Karma is a reputation system like in many other boards. A user can applaud another user for any reasons, usually because of a good post, a thank you for something, being helpful, or any such reason, and that will increase their Karma total. Likewise, a user can smite another user for any reason, usually such as a bad post, joke, being insulting or stupid, and that will reduce their Karma total. You can do this for any reason, though there are limits to how often you can effect someone's Karma.
What does Karma mean? Well not much, really. It's a measure of how well a member has been contributing to the forums for the most part, and it's a fun system.
Can I get a private forum?Maybe. Contact me in private to ask about it. I'm not handing them out, but I might be willing to offer them to a few people in exchange for favors.
Can I be a moderator?If you have to ask, the answer is probably no.
I'm having problems with the site.Post it in the
Peanut Gallery. You can post while not logged in there if you have having problems logging in. You can also send the webmaster an e-mail from the front page.
