Yo, Drew dude! They (SciFi Channel and or MGM) begin filming the Stargate Universe in a few weeks. The series will premier as a two hour movie followed by the series this upcoming summer. The story begins with a SG team (apparently not the SG1 team nor the Atlantis team) gating onto an ancient ship called the Destiny which was programmed eons ago to continue distributing gates through out the universe. The team cannot make the ship stop and take them to Earth and for some reason they can't just gate off it so they're stuck on the ship where their adventure begins as the ship continues its course distributing gates. For more info. just google "stargate universe" and then click on the "Gate World" website.

Jack has what I heard about it right.
The gate back to earth problem is likely more an issue of location/reference. If the gate moves too much, they can't get back on it.
It sounds enough like Voyager to scare me, but we'll see. Atlantis took a bit to get rolling.

We don't need no stinkin' robot! The worst one was on Buck Rogers in the 21st Century. It would make that stupid "eeebeedeeebeeedeeebee" sound and I had the worst urge to shoot it!

I would be ok with an android of some kind like Bishop from Aliens but not a robot.

I wouldn't be surprised if the new SG team bumps into Harlan again and he creates an android for them or if they find a replicator gone good and joins the team. Or something like that.
