I think I've found a new addiction. For awhile at least. Anyone else here playing it? And if so what do ya think?

I haven't yet. It takes a lot of computer power, which I do have, but apparently there are some patches to fix some issues with it (mods). I've been told the leveling system is counterintuitive.

Thanks, ray.
I was totally content playing Guild Wars, and you gotta go and bring up Oblivion. I bought it when it first came out, but that was shortly before we bought our house. It 'had' been collecting dust, until recently. I am totally rocking this game to deth.
Ray, did you notice, the first Dark Brotherhood quest you get is to wack a guy named Rufio?

For Ruffio, death is never a permanent condition..

I just picked this up (Birthday gift), but I haven't played it yet, as I've been busy with Metroid Prime 3.
I'm probably going to use one of the leveling mods though, as the more I read about the game, the more leveling is counterintuitive (as it's better to have your major skills be ones you don't use so you can control when you level, else you'll end up quickly being outclassed by your enemies).

Not sure how the leveling mods affect the game. The rub is, Tim, that the game levels itself on a sliding scale. The higher level you are, the higher level the baddies are.
Be that as it may, on my way to level...24, now? Well, i have three stats @ 100, and the rest sans luck are in the 80's.

You leveled smart then.
There are a couple of leveling mods. One autoqualifies you for a x5, others I'm not sure what they do.
The problem is, that it's easy to not max out your stats till extremely high levels, and that can make the game uber hard. Idealy, you want to either stop leveling at some point, or max things out so you can't level ASAP. At least, from what I have read.

Yeah, I've got a sneaker guy right now, and am using the smooth leveling mod, which slowly raises your atributes with skill use, and every 8 atribute points you go up, you level. Atributes go up to 60 points higher than start (Including over 100), which is cool.
It's been fun so far, though a bow is a pain to use when not sneaking up to people.

Ok, I think I finaly got the game stable. Had some odd issues.
I grabbed the fighter's stronghold patch when it was free, and just got it. I have no money, but it's nice to have my own place. Now if I could figure out how to get rid of the dead bodies laying around.

Good. I've been waiting a few days.
I just got to the first Oblivion gate. Was doing ok and then got ganked in the tower. Lack of mana appears the be my character's biggest flaw right now. need to work on Alchemy to get it up a bit.
I also need to throttle my PC back up (I throttled it down Before I discovered it was a video driver issue)

Driver issues suck. The tower can be a might rough place as well. All I gotta say is quicksave is your friend.
