Anybody know anything about this game?  I was thinking about picking it up for the DS when I have the extra money.

It's Civ, it's another turn based civ game.  If you like the others for the computer, you will like this one.

What if I've never played any of the other ones.  Are they cool?

I think you would excel at the game.  You get to plot out the course of your civilization and dominate the world.

You'd probably like Civ 3 or 4 too, but you'll probably like this.  You generaly can micromanage your civilization, use science, military and social advances to further your civilization, and you can win in several different way.

I got burned out at Civ 2, but I used to play a LOT of Civ 1 and 2 as a kid.  The new one looks better, because you can play a game in a few hours instead of a few hundred hours.

Wow, sounds addictive.  I'll have to pick it up.

I have lost contact with my oldest brother for days at a time because of Civ.

For me that shouldn't be too radical of a departure.
