I don't know why the critics are being so... well, critical. All in all, it was a cool movie. It was a solid story that lent itself to the animation (I think it would have failed as a live-action feature). Yeah, it was basically created for the fans... but we're all fans to some degree, aren't we?

Yes, we are all fan here...I'll kill anyone that isn't.  I think I'm going to wait until Jovis gets back in town to go see it.

Except for the glaring plot holes apparent in it supposedly taking place between episodes two and three it wasn't bad.

raistlin, on the Hutt issue, chances are it was for simplicity reasons due to it being an animated movie.  It's still a US thing that animated means aimed at kids, and subtitles aren't very kid friendly.

But Jabba still spoke Huttese.  And there were no subtitles.  It did crack me up when Jabba said the line, "Jedi Poodu"  It still makes me laugh.

Haven't seen the movie (shocking I know), but I've been enjoying the TV show a lot.

I enjoyed both the movie and what I've seen of the series. I agree Anakin seems nothing like the live action version. I prefer this Anakin.
