asobrian games hosts ranked and unranked online games for free. It's fun, and you can play a Settlers game in about 40 minutes.

It has all 3, as well as many custom maps. Most of the time, I play the "Basic" game, which is non-cities and knights.

It's not called Settler, but it is.

Also, be aware, clay looks kinda like a desert in this (clay has cactuses on it, deserts are just sand)
