I've read THE Book on Shape-Changers and it appears that DI handles that differently. In the Character Generation table on Races I see
Wyr     1P/1S
ByWyr   2P/1S
TryWyr  3P/2S/1T

What does that mean?
I know of a ByWyr that has 4 different animal persona.

THE BOOK talks about Aspect and phases of the moon. IN DI does this affect the Wyr's ability to shape-shift? or how long a shape can be maintained? does the Wyr run the rusk of not being unable to ever shift back?

While on the subject of race, THE BOOK talks about Giants as being within the Earth, Air, Fire, and Water elements. Do Hyfolk have a similar disposition?

Wyr-Folk are NOT the chape-changers from the 3rd ED DQ Book, so please ignore all that the 3rd ED DQ book says about shapechangers. And we are not using any of the aspect system outlined in the 3rd ED DQ book, so no the lunar phase has no bearing over wyr-folk.

As to your question about Hy'Folk, no.

the DI cheat sheet has 2P/1S, etc. list after each of the Wyr. What does it mean? I have a friend who is learning as I am learning about DI and DQ. While roled up a ByWyr at Vernecon, I do not believe that she fully understands how she got the character that she has.
