Concentric will mostly be Players Choice events for DI, but we will have a Festival that evening.

What does one do when one has played ALL the modules? ... Role up another character and play them all again?

seriously ... I' noticed a few high level characters at Vernecon and CODcon. I've played approximately 2/3rds of the available modules and my character is nowhere near as powerful. I am at the point where many of my skills are going to take almost all of the EP I get for an adventure just to rank up to the next level. My strategy now is to rank up my low level skills during a normal adventure keeping some EP back and ranking up my high level skills during festival. The problem comes in as to which adventure I am on just before Festival. I need to prctice thos skills I wish to rank up at Festival.

We are far from having 'all the modules' written. Once you have played all available scenarios then you are free to play other games and play the festivals until there is a new scenario for you to play. Most of the high level characters have played all the scenarios as well as 8 or more Festivals.

We are writing more modules all the time.

I assume Crispen is one of the few High Level Characters.  That's mostly how I play him.  He has a hand full of powerful damage spells, and can summon effreets.  That's because all his ep goes into a few spells.  All non-firemages will not be able to compare to the damage a fire mage can do, but I bet your character can beat me in every other catagory you can think of.

I am at the point where many of my skills are going to take almost all of the EP I get for an adventure just to rank up to the next level. What I do is put a check by the skill I use in a game.  Then when I spend ep I erase the check.  Then I know what I've used in a game since the last time I leveled up.  It doesn't have to be the adventure just before festival.   Also most GMs will let you use skills during a scenario you just need to speak up and say something like, "I summon an effreet."  The GM will say, "Um ok why?".  "I just need to use the skill".  GM - "ok, roll and tell me if you backfire."

Even though I had been playing games in the Dragonquest system since its first edition came out, I managed to make a couple of "errors" in creating my character in the previous GB7 DQ campaign "Shadow of the Dragon". Therefore, when the "Dragon Isles" campaign started, I tried to plan my character to avoid these same "errors" again.

One idea was to get initial training at the start in every skill that I thought would be important to my character later on. I did this for professions as well, except for Healer which wasn't permitted to beginning characters. So, my character doesn't have to spend a lot of campaign time starting something new, nor does he have to try to find someone to do the training.

As to XP towards a higher level character, it helps to have played in all the Festivals, in addition to having played in every module.
