Here is a good one. What are your, in no specific order, five most favorite-ist movies?

It is known that there are an infinite number of worlds, simply because there is an infinite amount of space for them. However, not every one of them is inhabited. Therefore, there must be a finite number of inhabited worlds. Any finite number divided by infinity is as near to nothing as makes no odds, so the average population of all the planets in the Universe can be said to be zero. From this it follows that the population of the whole Universe is also zero, and that any people you may meet from time to time are merely the products of a deranged imagination.

Navy Seals
Quigely Down Under
Rob Roy
Aliens
We Were Soldiers or Tombstone  (I can't decide)

(I was tempted to say wall-e and princess bride like Wulfwynn but there simply aren't enough guns fired in those movies)

Five! Only FIVE!?! Oh alright. Man this is TOUGH! *cracks knuckles and then the neck* Okay, here we go...
1) Lord of the Rings(special edition).... all three 'cause Peter Jackson did the impossible!
2) King Kong (Peter Jackson's Director's cut)...'cause its in color and Kong acted like a real ape unlike that horrid 1979 version (not to mention the awesome savage land dinosaur scenes).
3) Aliens (director's cut)...'cause if Vasquez had lived to face the Queen alien, she wouldn't have needed no stinkin' exo-skeleton lifter thingy! LET'S ROOOOOOOOOOOOCK!
4) Dark Knight....."cause IMO, that's how you make a REAL Batman movie!
5) Sixth Sense..."cause Joel Haley Osmond looked like he really pooped in his undies when he saw that little girl's ghost in his bedroom tent.
So there you have it! It took me over an hour to come up with only five movies BUT I did it! Now if you will excuse me, my head hurts.

C'mon man, I could only pick 5!  Dune would definately be in my top 10.  It was hard enough to narrow it down to 5 in no particular order.  10 years ago BTLC would have been in my top 10, but there have been so many good movies in the last 10 years, its hard to keep track.

Harry Potter

So, exluding movies in those series, my faves are:

Gladiator
Braveheart
Dances with Wolves
Sliding Doors
Moulin Rouge

Wow Tim. Yours is the first list I've seen where I liked every single movie on your list! Terminator 2 to this day is STILL my fav. of all the Terminator movies, Ghostbusters and Princess Bride would've made it into my top 5 comedies, Star Wars (episodes 4,5 and 6) would've made it into my top 5 sequels/trilogies and Se7en would've made my top 5 creepy movies (although it took a second watching for me to truly appreciate this movie). You see why I can't just pick 5 overall favorites? Smiley
