is there a write up on Ranger (Ocean). Thew DragonQuest book talks about all the things that a Ranger can do and how to calc the percentages. While I might try to map some of these abilities to an ocean environment, not all translate neatly. I'd like to know what my Royal Navy guy is capabpe of.

No, there is no specific write-up for Ranger Ocean, but everything that is listed as a Ranger ability is usable on the Ocean.

At Rank 2, a Ranger specializes in a particular environment.  From then on, he gains bonuses in that environment, but all other aspects of his Ranger skill function normally outside of that environment as well.
